Community Aid
The Community Aid portfolio of the AUDSS primarily aims to encourage involvement of our members in wider dental and community projects. 2023 promises to be an exciting year with events planned to ensure our student body are engaged in community initiatives and fundraising for dental facilities and other charitable organisations. Our major events such as the Sleep Out and Trivia for Timor help to raise the profile and the resources for our plight for improved oral health access and facilities. We will work with other members of the AUDSS, AURHA and Insight to organise and introduce regular involvement in oral health education initiatives, sporting and community events, monthly activity trips and movie nights, endeavouring to fundraise for dental projects and charities.

AURHA
The Adelaide University Rural Health Alliance, a branch of the National Rural Health Students’ Network (NRHSN), is a student body comprised of Medical, Dental, Nursing & Allied Health students passionate about improving health outcomes for rural and remote Australians.
With a multi-disciplinary focus AURHA organises number of fun and educational activities for students; including the popular "Dinner Under the Stars Social Event", BBQs, rural high school visits, as well as a night for guest speakers to talk about their dental work in areas where it is needed most.

INSIGHT
Insight, the global health group of the University of Adelaide, is one of the largest student-run global health charities in Australia.
We fundraise for and deliver multiple healthcare projects in both developing countries and Indigenous Australian communities -- increasing awareness, access and education of health care.
Insight organises many events such as Future Callings, The Photo Exhibition, Birthing Kit Workshops and The Amazing Raise, and in collaboration with AUDSS is looking to expand dental volunteering opportunities such as the currently successful Cambodia World Family Project, where a selected group of dental students volunteer in a free dental clinic for children in Cambodia.
